The scene of the accident The Federal Road Safety Corps Plateau Command confirmed on Wednesday that seven people have died from an accident which occured at Hawan - Kibo,  Jos road, Tuesday evening. Six people were also injured in the incident when the brake of a truck with registration number BSA214XA belonging to Africa's richest man Dangote failed and crashed into an oncoming Toyota Hiace bus marked BSA453XJ. The bus is owned by 'God’s Time Is The Best' Transport company in Jos, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. NAN also report an eye witness saying the truck was speeding when the brake failed, resulting in the fatal incident. Mr Andrew Bala, the Public Education Officer of the Plateau Command of the FRSC said the 13 victims involved in the accident were all adults, consisting of 10 males and three females. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo escaped what could have ended as a plane crash in Lagos on Wednesday According to NAN, the ex-president was among 393 passengers who were on board an aircraft that found it difficult to land at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The passenger aircraft, ET-901, had departed the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, at 9:10am, Ethiopian time, 7am Nigerian time A NAN correspondent, who was among the passengers, said the almost 5-hour flight from the Ethiopian capital to Lagos had been smooth until the pilot attempted to land at the Murtala Muhammed International airport. Rather than landing on the first touch line of the runway, the pilot over-short it, due to rain and heavy wind, landing on the third touchline. A new video that had since been making the trend across all social media platform   a Nigerian man publicly refusing the proposal of his girlfriend of years. Naija News   understands that the couple had been in the relationship for a long period but the lady, said to be from the Warri area of Delta state decided to take the giant step in the relationship by proposing to his man. However, things turned out not to be what he expected as his man rather than being excited over her proposal, publicly declined to go through the path of marriage together with his partner. The man openly disagreed to accept the proposal of his girlfriend. The video revealed how the lady held the legs of her man, with an engagement ring in her hand, pleading for his consent to be both happily married to her man but she was declined openly.

  Two people including a schoolgirl have been stabbed to death and more than a dozen injured in  Tokyo, Japan   on Tuesday after a stabbing spree on children as they waited for a bus. The yet to be identified attacker, who is in his 50s allegedly crept silently up behind a group of children at the bus stop and slashed randomly at them before fatally stabbing himself in the neck. According to the police an 11-year-old schoolgirl named  Hanako Kuribayashi  and a 39-year-old parent, identified as government official  Satoshi Oyama , died in the attack, which shocked a country where violent crime is rare. Seventeen more people, mainly young children, were injured, according to authorities who had previously given the schoolgirl’s age as 12.
